The Insanely Busy LaPrise House

Haven't updated much been to, as you can read insanely busy. The house may have bitten off more then it could chew the last few weeks. Entirely too much going on:

Chairs:
We decided to reupholster our kitchen chairs. I didn't feel like cleaning them this time and we found fabric that was not too expensive and matched. Bam decision made. Sadly it has been at least a month but we can say we have 3 1/2 chairs done! Mostly because a fire was lit under our butts with our basement idea and we had to get everything off the ping pong table.

The Basement:
We decided to fix the basement up. We determined this about 3 months ago, but suddenely everything, and I mean everything fell into our laps. We stumbled across carpet, oddly the same day we were discussing pricing it for my birthday, at a great price. Then came the free paint offer and linoleum we had been storing for years. Now we have a torn up basement! Exciting yet messy and I don't do messy.

So my days now consist of removing staples and picking up the mess from whatever we were able to work on for 2 hours the night before. Not to mention growing a kid. All this will be done and in typical fashion, by ourselves, with hundreds of "oh you should have calleds" when it is done. But we are tough and will pull through. At least we had friends pull through with the paint!!! So far that alone has kept the cost at about a quarter of what we were expecting.

There is about 10 other "projects" that haven't offically been started but are on the list, it is just hard to live where you are walking around carpet, garbage cans and chairs. Priorities make these trump the list of, fog light, lawn edging, painting the garage (the paint is sitting it it), painting the trim (this is a 3 year project still in discussion phase) and re-roofing the house (doing ourselves and have been told Sept. Oct. are best because of heat).
